Stay Young Forever: the importance of the Gut Microbiome
By Dr Lori Warren
Since I graduated from medical school in the late1980s, some of the most important medical breakthroughs involve the research about the gut microbiome and how important it is to our ultimate health and aging process.
I have learned that Alzheimer’s disease can largely be prevented through eating a healthy diet and promoting the good bacteria in the gut lining. I think the scariest thing about getting older is thinking about becoming demented. Probably most of us have observed an elderly person who loses their memory and becomes dysfunctional because of dementia.
I love Max Lugavere’s book, Genius Foods, he saw the connection between diet and dementia when his mother, only in her 50’s, started to have memory issues. He took a deep dive into the Standard American Diet (SAD) and writes about the historic changes in our diets during the last decades.
He highlights the 10 best foods for brain health and also discusses brain cleansing with intermittent fasting. I love this book!
Spa V promotes ultimate health and longevity!
I am confident that many health issues that Americans suffer from are related to the health of our gut bacteria. Our microbiomes are constantly modulated by the food we ingest.

Health Tip: Think about eating more veggies(organic if possible)
Olive oil every day!
Beauty Tip: Use a mixture of coconut oil, olive oil and ripe avocado for a face and hair mask weekly. If some gets in your mouth….it tastes good too.
